Serving as a smart vehicle-mounted terminal, the Vecoton V12S in-vehicle tablet integrates seamlessly across every phase of bus fleet operations — covering vehicle rollout, live tracking, dispatch coordination, and remote upkeep.

Once a bus leaves the depot, the V12S maintains constant bidirectional connectivity to the backend server over 4G wireless networks. Roughly every 20 seconds, the onboard app automatically syncs GPS coordinates, travel speed, and service operation data, while also relaying vehicle diagnostics and network connection metrics. From the control center, dispatch staff can monitor the full fleet’s positions and live operational status via the backend platform and send out dispatch orders and job alerts on demand.

While en route, drivers experiencing mechanical faults, unexpected roadway hazards, or passenger-related emergencies can log and escalate incidents straight from the V12S tablet to the backend system. Once alerted, the operations team can act rapidly, assign dedicated responders, and deliver timely support to resolve on-road issues.

The V12S pulls live dispatch data from the backend for driver visibility, showing schedule adherence or delays, completed route segments, upcoming roadway segments, and projected arrival times for subsequent stops. This framework delivers fully paperless dispatch workflows. Additionally, the unit supports over-the-air software updates and remote parameter adjustments, enabling remote administration and maintenance for each onboard terminal. System servicing can therefore be completed without requiring the bus to return to the yard.
